Your information
Privacy policy
This policy explains the categories of information Health Politics Daily may collect and how they may be used.
Information you provide
When you create a commenter profile, we store your chosen public username and the stable account identifier supplied by the sign-in service. Comments you submit—including guest comments—are stored and displayed publicly. Do not include private or sensitive information in a comment. If you contact us or later use newsletter or membership services, we may also receive the information you choose to provide.
Guest comments and abuse prevention
Guest comments display as “Anonymous.” To slow spam and repeated abuse, the site converts limited connection and browser information into a one-way identifier. The raw IP address is not stored in the comments database by this process, although hosting and security providers may process technical logs under their own policies.
Information collected automatically
Hosting, analytics and advertising services may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referral source and approximate location. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for sign-in, security, measurement, preferences and, where enabled, advertising.
How information may be used
- To operate, secure and improve the publication and comment system.
- To display comments and maintain commenter profiles.
- To deliver requested newsletters or memberships.
- To measure readership and advertising performance.
- To respond to messages, enforce terms and comply with law.
Service providers and advertising
We may use hosting, authentication, analytics, newsletter, payment and advertising providers that process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Third-party vendors and ad networks, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to measure traffic, prevent fraud, personalize advertising where permitted and serve ads. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can review advertising choices through Google Ads Settings and participating industry opt-out tools such as YourAdChoices. If personalized advertising is enabled, readers will receive consent controls where required by applicable law.
Your choices
You may comment without an account by continuing as a guest. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each message and limit cookies through browser settings or any consent control displayed on the site. Requests to access, correct or delete information may be sent to privacy@healthpoliticsdaily.com. We may need to verify a request and retain information when legally required.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as services change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are posted.
